Antioxidants

A human being is indeed an impressive machine, a dynamic balance of move flows, brain waves, hormones, and heartbeats. The best nutrients help you keep that impressive piece in the best possible working order but, is it protected? Antioxidants are the first front in the battle against the bad components that come from pollution. Today, when this post was written, a worldwide pandemic COVID-19. The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) recommends:

  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
    Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Put distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community. This is especially important for people who are at higher risk of getting very sick.

These viruses deteriorate the cells but the antioxidants can prevent this from occurring. The best dietary sources of antioxidants are fruits and vegetables. Doctors recommend eating five or six servings a day of fruit and vegetables. Foods that contain tomatoes like spaghetti sauce, suggests they contain lycopene, which has been shown to be particularly effective at stopping low-density lipoproteins from oxidizing that way are named Antioxidants.
